The Huidzorg West Practice
Welcome to the virtual practice of Huidzorg West.
If you have skin concerns and would like to find out what we can do for you, please make an appointment with us.
We treat by appointment only. Give us a call or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or use the contact form to register. We will contact you as soon as possible.
We are open every morning between 8.30 and 12.30 to answer any questions you may have or to schedule appointments. If we don’t answer the phone, we are all busy treating clients. Please leave your name and phone number and we will call you back as soon as possible.
If you need to cancel (48 hours!) or reschedule your appointment, please call or email us. If you don’t cancel in time or don’t show up, you will be charged for the reserved time. You will receive an invoice by email, and these costs will not be reimbursed by your health insurance company.
For the first consultation 30 minutes will be reserved. If more time is needed, we will schedule an additional consultation. During this consultation, all your questions, wishes and expectations will be discussed with you. The skin therapist examines your skin and asks you questions about your skin concern(s). The skin therapist will then provide you with advice and, in close consultation with you, draw up a personal treatment plan. You will also be provided with an indication of the price. We will then make our first treatment appointment after you have given us your verbal and written consent.
Prior to the preliminary consultation, we will send you an information package and a medical questionnaire. We kindly ask you to bring the completed and signed form to the preliminary consultation. It is important for us to know more about your general health, so that we can take this into account during your treatment. Please bring your medication list and/or a referral letter if applicable. For anyone under the age of 16, a parent or guardian must be present at the preliminary consultation.
Personal Data Protection Act
The Huidzorg West practice takes your privacy very seriously. Data relating to the client are recorded by the skin therapist in a register of personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (“WBP”). The skin therapist and any person involved in the treatment (referrer, trainee, substitute and/or staff member) will not disclose any personal or medical information to third parties without obtaining the client’s permission.
General Terms and Conditions
If you are visiting the Huidzorg West practice for the first time, it is important that you are aware of our general conditions.
We are affiliated with the following organisations, so you can be sure of high-quality care. After all, we think it is only right that you should be able to count on our quality!
Dutch Association of Skin Therapists
The Huidzorg West practice is affiliated with the Dutch Association of Skin Therapists (NVH). The Dutch Association of Skin Therapists imposes a number of quality requirements on the professional group. This includes following refresher courses and being registered in the Quality Register.
Paramedics Quality Register.
As part of the registration in the Paramedics Quality Register, a check is made to veryify that the practitioner complies with the training requirements described in Section 34 of the BIG Act.
Dutch Aesthetic Laser Association
The Huidzorg West practice is affiliated with the DALA. The DALA stands for Dutch Aesthetic Laser Association and is the only Dutch professional association that is seriously committed to the quality of laser, light and energy-based treatments. The developments are following each other in rapid succession and are offered by many practitioners. Not every practitioner is legally qualified to carry out these techniques, and the lack of government supervision has made it necessary to establish a professional association in which practitioners specialised and qualified in these techniques can be grouped.
Network Skin Therapy after Burns
Especially for people with burn scars, there are skin therapists who have completed the post-hbo course ‘Skin Therapy after Burns’. This programme was developed by Utrecht University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the Dutch Burns Foundation and specialists in Dutch and Belgian burn care.
