Microdermabrasion is an intensive peeling that removes dead skin cells. The treatment is used to stimulate the skin to produce new cells and collagen. Coarse skin structures are improved and pigmentation spots, scars or residual acne can be reduced. The result is a smoother and more even skin.
With the use of microcrystals we can give your skin a deep peel. Microdermabrasion stimulates cell renewal and the subcutaneous connective tissue and collagen in the skin. It also improves your blood circulation and gives your skin a healthy glow.
The skin is cleansed with a facial cleanser
The skin therapist will make tracks over the skin with the treatment head. This involves light suctioning of the skin and the removal of microcrystals on the skin. Depending on the skin condition, we will go for a mild or more intense approach
The remaining microcrystals on the skin are lightly massaged
The excess microcrystals are removed with a compress and the treatment is finished with a nourishing cream and SPF

The skin may be camouflaged with mineral make-up after the treatment. At Huidzorg West we work with the mineral make-up products of Jane Iredale. The Huidzorg West skin therapists can advise you about these make-up products.
Depending on the condition of the skin, microdermabrasion can be used with other treatment methods. The Huidzorg West skin therapists will tell you more about this during the intake interview.
